Assignment Criteria:
For this assignment, you
need to create a series of 10-15 art works that relate to each other through a
‘theme.’ (The ‘theme’ could be media, size, subject…the choice is yours. The responsibility to collect the materials
you need to make this collection is also yours. See what you have available to you
in your environment for free already.
The materials you use should be neither traditional art materials or
expensive. If you spend $5 on materials
for this project, you’ve spent too much.
Get creative, resourceful, inventive…and challenge your ideas about what
is or is not Art).
This collection will be put
on display somewhere in the school. (Either in the BCHS Art gallery or display cases. Other spaces – inside or out- may be used
with prior arrangement and consent).
An Artist’s Statement will
be included as part of the display and assignment. (Minimum 250 words,
typed…See ‘How to write an Artist Statement’ for more information.)
